PREMISE AND PROMISE WORKSHEET

This worksheet will help your collaboration prepare to write its charter. 
Each of the questions below requires discussion among all partners. When this worksheet is completed send it to VERA for their review. 
When you can summarize your conclusions in the space below, then you and your partners will know how to proceed to create a charter.

1.  What is the premise of your collaboration?

There is a difference between coordinating, cooperating and collaborating.
Collaborating is a process to use to change systems. Are you and your partners just completing a task, or are you striving to change the ways services are provided to women with disabilities and Deaf women?


2.  What is the promise of your collaboration?

Your grant from OVW has requirements. What are they?
What results do you want from participating in this work?
Who will be judging your success? How will you know that you are getting results that are important to them?
