People with disabilities and/or mental illness who are impacted by domestic and/or sexual violence (survivors) in Black Hawk County, Iowa will experience a safe and accessible service delivery system. Services will be provided through a team approach by knowledgeable, compassionate advocates who are equipped and committed to provide survivors with a range of options to empower them to live their best life.
Project BEST is committed to ensuring safe, accessible and effective services to people with disabilities and/or mental illness that are impacted by domestic violence/sexual assault by addressing gaps and barriers in our existing services. We will do this by improving the knowledge and skills of our staff, enhancing policies and procedures, and building relationships between our organizations. We are dedicated to cultivating a team approach and changing the prevailing culture of our agencies and our community of Black Hawk County, IA.
