Overview

The Oakland County Michigan collaboration – formally named PAH!: Partners Advocating for Healing – is comprised of three community based service providers who are working on increasing the responsiveness and accessibility of services for Deaf survivors of domestic violence.  Their collaborative name stems from the American Sign Language sign of "PAH" which represents the attainment of a desired result or outcome, success or achievement.  This project name symbolizes the bridge PAH! is building between the Deaf and hearing communities to combat domestic violence.

Currently in their planning phase, the Oakland County, MI collaboration is working on stregthening their collaboration, developing their vision, and determining the work processes that will guide their work together over the next several years.

Planning & Development Process

In order to effectively improve services and create change in their organizations, the PAH! collaboration is taking part in a planning and development process that includes activities to: strengthen their collaboration, identify their focus, learn about the needs in their organizations, and develop a concrete plan for addressing those needs. This section contains files that document this process.

Collaboration Charter

As part of the planning phase of their grant project, PAH! is in the process of creating a collaboration charter. This document outlines the collaborative's members, member roles and responsibilities, vision and mission, values and relevant definitions. The collaboration charter also describes the team's decision making and conflict resolution protocols, policies on confidentiality, and their communication and work plan.
