Overview

The Louisiana collaboration - formally named the Survivor Empowerment and Access in Louisiana (SEAL) project -  is comprised of two organizations, one from the sexual assault advocacy movement, and one from the disability rights advocacy movement. The collaboration is committed to building upon previous work in the state of Louisiana by improving systems and services for people with disabilities who have experienced sexual assault.

Currently in their planning phase, the Louisiana collaboration is working on stregthening their collaboration, developing their vision, and determining the work processes that will guide their work together over the next several years.

Planning & Development Process

In order to effectively improve services and create change, the Louisiana collaboration is taking part in a planning and development process that includes activities to: strengthen their collaboration, identify their focus, learn about the needs in their organizations, and develop a concrete plan for addressing those needs.  This section contains files that document this process.

Collaboration Charter

As part of the planning phase of their grant project, the Louisiana collaboration is in the process of creating a collaboration charter. This document outlines the collaborative's members, member roles and responsibilities, vision and mission, values and relevant definitions. The collaboration charter also describes the team's decision making and conflict resolution protocols, policies on confidentiality, and their communication and work plans.
