Overview

The City of Los Angeles collaboration – formally named the Right Response Collaborative – is comprised of seven agencies including community-based organizations, law enforcement and prosecution representatives.  Each of their community based partners provide direct support and advocacy services for persons who are victims survivors of domestic or sexual violence and are Deaf/hard of hearing or who have a disability.

Currently in their planning phase, the Right Response Collaborative is in the process of strengthening their collaboration, finalizing their mission and vision, and determining how they will work together to improve services for Deaf/hard of hearing survivors and survivors with disabilities in Los Angeles.

Planning & Development Process

In order to effectively improve services and create change in their organizations, the Right Response Collaborative is taking part in a planning and development process that includes activities to: strengthen their collaboration, identify their focus, learn about the needs in their organizations, and develop a concrete plan for addressing those needs. This section contains files that document this process.

Collaboration Charter

As part of the planning phase of their grant project, the City of Los Angeles collaboration is in the process of creating a collaboration charter. This document outlines the collaborative's members, member roles and responsibilities, vision and mission, values and relevant definitions. The collaboration charter also describes the team's decision making and conflict resolution protocols, policies on confidentiality, and their communication and work plan.
