Almost all RTAs have a discounted rate for elders and people with disabilities. Often they require riders to have a photo ID issued by the RTA. This pass is usually recognized by either RTAs within the state or out of state but may require notification prior to use if you are from out of state. Likewise, if an individual is eligible for paratransit services, RTAs are obligated to provide service as long as the individual provides proof of eligibility two to three weeks prior to needing service. Again, it is important to contact the RTA to fully understand their requirements.
