There are resources to assist you and your clients with disabilities to locate housing that is appropriate to their specific needs.
  • Nationwide, there are Centers for Independent Living This link will open a new browser window.. These Centers provide advocacy plus information and referral on available services to persons with disabilities and their families. Many Centers can provide information regarding accessible housing in their service area.
  • HUD maintains a database listing of all its funded accessible units for persons with disabilities and elders.
  • Some of the State Executive Housing Offices This link will open a new browser window. and Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs) This link will open a new browser window. are beginning to develop listings of their accessible housing stock as well.
