Charity Hope joined Vera in July 2008 as a Senior Program Associate for the Accessing Safety Initiative. Prior to joining Vera, Charity worked as a Director for the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) in Kansas City, MO. While at MOCSA, Charity served as the Project Director for the Safety First Initiative--a multi-disciplinary collaboration focused on enhancing the capacity of service providers and improving the coordination of supports and services for women with disabilities who are victims/survivors of violence. Before her work at MOCSA, Charity spent ten years as a Program Manager at SAVE Inc., Kansas City's housing provider for people with HIV/AIDS. Charity has a Master's degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior from the Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
