Amy Judy

Amy Judy coordinates the Violence Against Women with Disabilities Project at Wisconsin's designated protection and advocacy (P&A) agency for people with disabilities and their families. This Project seeks to elevate collaboration among state/local SA, DV and disability programs while enhancing their collective capacity to respond effectively and appropriately to women victims with disabilities. Formerly, Ms. Judy initiated and coordinated efforts at Wisconsin’s sexual assault coalition to address sexual violence against people with disabilities and older adults, and managed day-to-day program operations related to vocational futures planning and work incentives benefits counseling for people with disabilities at a community-based disability employment services agency. For 13 years, she has worked on policy and program development, legal and personal advocacy, and training with and about individuals with disabilities and victims/survivors of sexual assault (SA) and domestic violence (DV). Ms. Judy also has nearly twenty years of experience in community organizing. She holds a B.A. from Beloit College and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
