ASI Description
The Accessing Safety Initiative of the Vera Institute of Justice provides support to non-profit organizations, government agencies, and communities interested in improving their services for individuals with disabilities and Deaf individuals who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking. Using a variety of methods, the Accessing Safety Initiative currently provides technical assistance and training to 15 federally-funded initiatives, comprising a collaboration of state or local organizations that serve victims of violence and/or people with disabilities.
